Evil with Good

The role of Prayer, The Holy Spirit, and Spiritual Power in a Secular Age

Theological Study Day 2017

Author, pastor and theologian Greg Boyd joins leaders from across Be In Christ Church of Canada to discuss how we might recover an awareness of the spiritual power that has been given to us, live out the values of the kingdom of God and resist evil in a way that makes sense for today.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”Romans 12:21

Following Jesus in a secular age requires spiritual vigilance as opposing forces work to distract us, frustrate us, lull us to sleep and diffuse our faith. It’s easy to start feeling at home in the world’s systems of money, power, sex, busyness, consumption, security, and significance.

“For our struggle is not against flesh & blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”Ephesians 6:12

As followers of Jesus we have the advantage if we will learn to recognize, resist, and overcome evil in the power of the Spirit of God.

The question is how?
