Peace & Sexuality
A Conversation on Living with the Tensions of the Sacred Text and Everyday Life
Creating space for gracious conversations
This development day (with guest speaker Ronald J. Sider) explored two challenging aspects of our theology and practice in the 21st Century: Peace & Sexuality.
The first half of the day was spent in conversation around the tensions of the interpretive journey of ‘just war’ biblical texts and the peace lens on Scripture. The second half of the day will be spent in gracious conversation surrounding the tensions between the interpretive journey of disputed LGTB monogamous relationship texts and a historically orthodox interpretive lens.
Event Date: November 12th, 2015
Event Location: The Meeting House, Oakville
