In Matthew 28 Jesus says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” For BIC Canada these words have motivated us for over 200 years to be witnesses and to speak to the hope of Jesus within our communities.

In Canada our congregations are organized in three different expressions:

Community Churches

Community Churches

Community Churches all have different looks, histories and styles of doing ministry. Community Churches have the freedom to discern how Jesus is directing their life together under local pastoral leadership and church boards. Our passion is to see each Community Church be a vibrant centre of spiritual life, in its area, that is striving to serve people, present the life-changing message of Jesus in word, action and relevant ministry.

The Network

The Network

The Network are congregations who eagerly desire to become the presence of Jesus into their communities. Some of meet as congregations that gather every weekend for worship and teaching, while others meet in smaller faith communities throughout the week. A significant emphasis for the Network is being the presence of Jesus in the community.

The Meeting House

The Meeting House

The Meeting House is a church that meets in approximately 15 locations across Canada and in home churches around the world. The Meeting House is a church for people who aren’t into church.
